$75M Cash Refund
Paid by Google to its DoubleClick Bid Manager advertiser clients after our client brought a class action against it alleging that it breached its various advertising contracts by failing to issue refunds to advertisers for invalid ad traffic. The case was also certified as a class action and later settled for an additional payment of $7 million by Google to AdWords advertisers. (AdTrader v. Google)
On breach of contract claims brought by our client, an entrepreneur, against the publicly traded company that had acquired his business assets and then failed to properly deploy them in order to deprive him of additional earnout compensation. This arbitration award was subsequently confirmed by a federal court. (Barranco v. 3D Systems)
