Prior to joining Gaw | Poe LLP, Ms. Vigo was Counsel at the international law firm of O’Melveny & Myers LLP, where she successfully represented clients in class actions, breach of fiduciary duty suits, and commercial litigation.

Ms. Vigo has been recognized as a Rising Star™ for Northern California for 2013 and 2014, by Super Lawyers magazine. Ms. Vigo graduated with distinction from UC Hastings College of the Law, where she was elected to the Thurston Society and earned the Witkin Award for Excellence. Ms. Vigo received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Representative Engagements

  • (Confidential). Counsel in a breach of contract and fraud lawsuit brought by our clients who were defrauded into purchasing an information technology staffing company based on inflated financial and customer data. The case was resolved via a settlement worth $3.15 million to the clients.
  • Galic v. Goodenbour (S.F. Sup.) Second-chair in a nationally publicized personal injury jury trial involving claims brought by former college basketball players against their coach and school for persistent emotional and verbal abuse. Unanimous jury verdict awarded our client $750,000 in compensatory and punitive damages.
  • Counsel for publicly traded conditional access software developer in a $1.6 billion trade secrets litigation concerning satellite television technology. Following a 5-week jury trial in federal court, the client prevailed on 25 of 29 claims and was ordered to pay only $1,500 on the remaining four claims. The client was also subsequently awarded attorney’s fees of nearly $18 million. The verdict was named one of the “Top Ten Defense Verdicts of 2008” by The Daily Journal.
  • Sellers v. JustAnswer (S.D. Sup.) Counsel for subscription service that was sued in a California class action for alleged violations of California’s Automatic Renewal Law. The case was resolved via a settlement that was worth only a faction of the client’s potential liability under the claims at issue.
